ABOUT
With experience of managing well over 10,000 patients, Mr Chaudhary condenses his philosophy as:
"To best serve the patient, one needs to listen, to accommodate and provide superlative surgical acumen intertwined with honesty. That's what I strive to always provide as a surgeon"
He has now chosen to sub-specialised purely is in the treatment of spinal conditions. During his years of research and training he has come to strongly believe that patients are not best served by 'being a jack of all trades and master of none'. Thus Mr Chaudhary now channels all his skills as a brain and spine surgeon into maximising outcomes for his spinal patients.
His additional research and educational interests include the application of technology in Surgery and Medical Education and he completed my Masters in Surgical Technology from Imperial College, London. He has won national prizes for work on some of these endeavours. His areas of interest are Keyhole Spinal Surgery (Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery), Day case spinal surgery and Surgical Technology, Medical and Virtual Reality education. He teaches the next generation of neurosurgeons as faculty on the BNTA (British Neurosurgical trainee association).
On a personal note, He's a father, Apple aficionado (not only of the products but the design principles, philosophy and ethos that the brand and Steve Jobs represented) and an avid amateur runner with a number of marathon and half marathons completed in the past few years. Its a sport he respects for its synergy with life. Perhaps it is best represented by the phrase 'Running is the greatest metaphor for life, because you get out of it what you put into it'. Some of the remainder of his time is also spend fundraising for Refuge Action.
